The people of predominantly Shia towns of Kefariya and al-Fu'a, who have been besieged by militants and terrorists for years, have finally been given a free passage through the al-Eis crossing , south of Aleppo in northern Syria.

According to an Iran Press report, local residents of the predominantly Shia towns of Kefariya and Al-Fu'a in Idlib province, boarded buses in the early hours of Thursday morning and passed safely through  the al-Eis crossing, south of Aleppo, in northern Syria.

The first stage of evacuation started on Wednesday morning when six buses full of residents of the two towns were allowed to pass through the al-Eis crossing. Latest reports say 121 buses, filled with local residents,  have now left the region.

The Syrian government and various terrorist and militant groups in Idlib province reached an agreement on Tuesday, whereby the entire populations of the two Shia towns would be evacuated and relocated elsewhere.

Also Syrian media reported on Wednesday night that various terrorist groups agreed to evacuate and leave Quneitra province in south western Syria entirely,  with Russia acting as mediator and guarantor of the arrangement.

Syrian government forces are due to enter these territories  soon, so that those people who wish to remain in Quneitra, can do so, after their identities and status have been ascertained, and those people who wish to leave, would be relocated to Idlib province in north western Syria.

The terror group al-Nusra Front (also known as Tahrir al-Sham ) was based on the outskirts of Quneitra city, and used to receive regular logistic and intelligence support  from the Zionist regime of Israel.
