Iranian student receives gold medal at International Exhibition of Inventions

An Iranian medical student has won the gold medal at the 47th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2019, by inventing a lotion which protects human skin against ultraviolet and x-ray radiation.

Iran Press/Europe: An Iranian medical student, Mohammad Reza Majidi, who is a fourth-year medical student at Gonabad University in Khorasan Razavi province, in addition to receiving the gold medal, won the special prize at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland.

Majidi invented a special lotion which protects human skin against ultraviolet radiation and also x-ray radiation. The main application of this invention is in the field of medical imaging, where x-rays are sometimes used, Iran Press reported.

The top Iranian medical student has already won major prizes for his innovative ideas such as winning the silver medal at the Korea International Youth Olympiad in Seoul, South Korea 2018, and also a bronze medal at the Silicon Valley International Exhibition of Inventions in California, United States.

The International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is the most important inventions exhibition in the world, with 1'000 new inventions and products ??being showcased in the exhibition. 211/104
