He called for urgent delivery of aid to flood victims.

Hojjat-ul-Islam Moezzie said the flooding was widespread and extensive in Mazandaran and Golestan provinces, causing some public concern in Golestan province, particularly in 'Turkmen city' and the town of 'Aqqala'.
The representative of the Leader in Red Crescent Society added: "Assistance to flood victims is going well, but more coordination is needed."

Earlier the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a message expressed deep regret about losses suffered by people after the destructive flood and underlined the urgent need for speedy distribution of popular and government aid among flood victims.

The northern Golestan and Mazandaran provinces have been affected by heavy downpours over the past few days. The floods have forced many people to flee their homes, particularly in Aqqala and Gomishan cities in Golestan province.
