Tehran (IP): Following the guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, parliamentarians in the Majlis have approved the allocation of 20 percent of Iran's oil and gas revenues going to the 'National Development Fund'.

Iran Press/Iran news: During the open session of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) on Sunday morning, MPs approved the allocation of 20 percent of Iran's oil and gas revenues going to the 'National Development Fund'.

According to an Iran Press report, Ali Larijani announced in Sunday's session that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has issued written guidelines with regards to the 'National Development Fund', and even though the money set aside for the fund should increase by 3 percent incrementally year-by-year, this has not happened this year, due to the current economic difficulties.

According to Larijani, the Leader indicated that given the current state of the economy, the share of revenues from oil and gas exports going to the 'National Development Fund' should be set at 20 percent. 211/103
