Defense attaché of India to Iran said that despite sanctions, New Delhi has continued its' relations with Theran.

Iran Press/Iran news: "I think that the sanctions have had impacts on Iran's economic activities, but despite the sanctions we have continued our relations with Islamic Republic of Iran," Defense attaché of India to Iran, Capt. Aftab Ahmed Khan said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency on the sidelines of a defense exhibition in Tehran.

"We have been making constant efforts to fasten our ties with Tehran, and as you know both India and Iran are significant countries in the region," he added.

Aftab Ahmad Khan also said that India and Iran have had several avenues to expand their cooperation.

On Jan. 08, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif emphasized that Iran is the most reliable energy provider for India and will not allow any consideration to impede the relationship between the two countries.  101/ 201
