Chairman of the Experts Assembly Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati emphasized that Iran has no fear of US threats and will do all in its power to resist American pressures. 

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at a ceremony to mark the 40th anniversary of the country’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati added that the West considered Islam as a sign of backwardness, and even the Muslims themselves thought that if they wanted to advance, they should follow the West.

Jannati also said that, the miracle of Imam Khomeini was that he praised Islam and told the Muslims that if they wanted to be dear and live in prosperity, they should follow Islam, Iran Press reported.

He reiterated that the enemies used all their efforts to break the power of Islam, no one believed we can resist the enemy in the imposed war.

Pointing out that US officials cannot manage their own country, Chairman of the Experts Assembly stressed today there are millions of hungry people in America and America's power is shrinking.

Ayatollah Janati also said that, the US tries to change our youth's beliefs but their tries would be fruitless.

Iranians across the country have begun ten days of celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.

The ceremonies started on Friday morning at 9:33 am local time (0603 GMT), the time when the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini arrived back home on February 1, 1979 from exile.101/202
