Iranian Parliament Speaker has said the project of normalizing relations between Israel and Arab countries is a black spot on the record of the Muslim countries.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a meeting with the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Emigration of the National Popular Assembly of Algeria, Abdelhamid Si Afif, Ali Larijani deplored the US peace plan for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict known as 'the deal of the century'.

According to a Mehr News Agency report, Larijani said with this fake plan, the Americans are seeking to reduce the Palestinian issue to the situation in the Gaza Strip.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Larijani hailed the growing relations between Iran and Algeria and called for closer parliamentary ties between the two nations.

The Yemeni war did not have any benefit for Muslims, he said.

Larijani added that today, the Muslim world did not deal wisely with the Yemeni issue and this resulted in the death of thousands of innocent Yemenis, with no benefit whatsoever for the Muslim world.

The Algerian lawmaker, for his part, described Tehran-Algiers relations, particularly parliamentary relations as 'special' and called for more effort to boost ties in other areas as well.

He emphasized on the development of economic relations between the two countries, adding Algeria backs the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as an international agreement and condemns the cruel sanctions against Iran.

In recent years, some Arab countries have started secret cooperation with the Israeli regime despite widespread public opposition at home.

On Jan. 05, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi publicly confirmed that military cooperation between Egypt and Israel has reached 'unprecedented levels'.
