Iran has maintained its world ranking of 4th place among top publishers of nanotechnology articles while also there has been a remarkable increase in number of published scientific articles comparing to last year.

Iran Press/Iran news: According to Iran Press, Iran has maintained its world ranking of 4th place among top publishers of nanotechnology articles after China, United States, and India. 

According to the annual report of 2018 by Statnano, which was established in 2010 as a gateway to the latest information and statistics in nano-based Science, Technology and Industry, more than 166,000 scientific articles were published in the Web of Science portal, which showed a 7% increase compared to 2017.

Among the 166000 scientific papers published, Iran has published more than 9600 articles.

The ranking of the top 20 countries in nanotechnology-related publications.

"Currently some 420 certified nanotechnology products are being produced by 170 firms inside Iran", said Saeed Sarkar, the Secretary-General of the Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC).
