The new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the People’s Republic of China Mohammad Keshavarz-Zadeh met with President Rouhani to brief him on the latest developments in relations with China, and submit the latest reports on Tehran-Beijing relations.

Iran news: During the meeting that was held on Tuesday, Hassan Rouhani stressed development of relations between Iran and China, saying: “Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People’s Republic of China is on the right track and at the right level due to the efforts of senior officials of the two countries and this will continue”, Iran Press reported.

President Rouhani also referred to the common cultural grounds between the two nations and the long-standing relations between Tehran and Beijing, stressing deepening of relations and links between the private sectors to serve the national interests of both sides.

On 10 June, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed on bolstering bilateral ties in a meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the Chinese port city of Qingdao.

The two top executives highlighted the strengthening of bilateral ties and developing economic and political cooperation between Tehran and Beijing. 103
