The head of the IRIB university has said at the International Conference on Digital Games Research that there are nearly 30 million computer game users in the country, adding that 'we are facing a tough battle today.'

Iran News: Shahab Esfandiari was speaking to the international event where he said the secretariat has selected 28 English and 29 Persian articles in the field of computer games, Iran Press News Agency reported.

He added: "We have a legacy of 5 decades of training in digital games, which is considered a growth in the gaming industry, although we are late, but the capacity we enjoy could help us compensate for this delay."

The official said six volume of books in the field of computer games will be unveiled at the conference.

Esfandiari added that they should be appreciating the exchange of television, cinema and computer games industry.

The 2nd International Conference on Digital Games Research is taking place here in Tehran at the IRIB university for two days (November 28-29)  in cooperation with the Computer Games Foundation. 206/103
