Iranian MPs approved allocating one percent of revenues from state-owned banks and corporations for development of educational equity and educational justice in the country.

Iran Press/Iran news: Members of parliament (Majlis) in their open session on Wednesday 21 November discussed the details of article 1 of a proposed legislation for amendment of financial, administrative and supportive regulations relating to the Ministry of Education.

According to Iran Press, the Majlis approved the proposed legislation, with 154 lawmakers voting in favour, 16 voting against, and 7 MPs abstained from the vote.

According to the newly-approved legislation, one percent of revenues from state-owned banks and corporate revenues will be allocated to development of educational equity and educational justice within the country, improving the livelihood of teachers, ensuring per capita supply of education, and paying for teacher's demands. 101/207
