Iran' s foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Ghasemi has stressed that no evidence or documents to prove the alleged Iranian nationality of 14 individuals arrested in Bahrain has been presented to Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: The spokesman for  ministry of foreign affairs Bahram Ghasemi , said Bahraini interior  ministry claim about   14  individuals who have been arrested cannot be confirmed , and cannot be relied upon, because of a lack of documents and evidence.

Earlier, Bahrain claimed 14 individuals who tried to enter the country illegally using fake Asian passports , and fake identities were actually Iranian nationals who have now been arrested.

Ghasemi added:  "More evidence is needed to support Bahraini interior ministry claims that the detainees are  originally Iranian".

Referring to severed diplomatic relations  between Tehran and Manama , a state of affairs which has exited for years , Ghasemi went on to stress that for this very important reason no visa will be issued   to  Iranian citizens wishing to travel to  Bahrain, and thus it is unlikely that Iranian citizens have travelled to  Manama.

On  Saturday 8 September 2018 ,Bahrain's ministry of Interior  claimed 14 Iranian nationals holding fake passports and under fake identities had entered Bahraini soil and had been arrested by Bahraini authorities.
