"The governments like Iran's current government which has control over 70 percent of economic resources does have effective role in the sustainable development provided that the smart government would consist the internal segments which work together constructively. " said Dr. Ahmad Bozorgian the head of Iran's e- government committee who also chairs the Smart government panel in an exclusive interview with Iran Press International news agency while Talking about the role of e-government in the sustainable development .
He went on to say that within this version of smart government the, capacities, opportunities and strong points ,all can be reached and analysed and every thing would be clarified so that the ground would be paved for sustainable development. "Similarly we can lead different segments of the government including the fields of economic,cultural ,industrial and political nature toward one goal which is going to be sustainable development. within the Iranian version this is done on the basis of Justice (contrary to other countries systems )"underlined Bozorgian. However he also emphasized that role of the people to reach sustainable development is also important. Referring to principle No. 44 of the Constitution he went on to say that through application of the principle it can be ensured that role of the people would be increased .Furthermore , Bozorgian described the continuous contribution of people in the cultural and political arenas as the key to sustainable development .He also said that the e-government committee is aimed at establishment of the logical relation which is at the same time of smart nature among different segments of the government to win people' s trust and consecutively more public contribution for reaching sustainable development.
Talking about the role of the Iranian academic figures scholars and elites ' contribution to reach sustainable development Dr Bozorgian believed that the any form of development in any society should start with the progress of the elites of that society. Finally He asked all of the Iranian academic elites all across the world to suggest the ways to remove cultural hurdles in a road to reach sustainable development through their active presence among the people of the Iranian society.
