A member of Iran's parliament Behrouz Nemati said that US Secretary of State does not know Iranian people.

"US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's remarks about some issues show that neither he is informed sufficiently nor knows Iranian people very well. Or maybe Pompeo is not familiar with diplomatic discourse", Behrouz Nemati a member of Iran's parliament said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press news agency.

"When you threaten the nation of a country to not defend themselves, do not have the security means to defend themselves, and do no defend the oppressed people in the world it shows that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is not familiar with the issues", the member of Iran's parliament added.

"Why US and its' allies like Zionist regime have the biggest nuclear arsenal? Why they are afraid of our ballistic missiles?", Behrouz Nemati asked.

"People still have not forgotten what kinds of tragedy happened with US hands in Vietnam, Hiroshima, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Sudan", the member of Iran's parliament concluded.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has threatened again Iran with “the strongest sanctions in history” if the country refuses to “stop enrichment” of uranium, and allow nuclear inspectors “unqualified access to all sites throughout the country”.

Also, US President Donald Trump announced on May 8 that Washington was walking away from the nuclear agreement, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was reached between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - the US, Britain, France, Russia and China - plus Germany.
