Iranian Foreign Minister has met the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy on Tuesday.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif have talked with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini in Brussels about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The two sides discussed the latest developments connected with JCPOA after US unilateral withdrawal from the agreement.

"The meeting with Federica Mogherini was constructive", Zarif said after the meeting.

The Iranian foreign minister told reporters that he has had a good meeting with EU foreign policy chief, adding they had discussed the ways to secure the interests of the remaining parties in the deal.

Iran’s Foreign minister noted that the talks with the remaining parties to the nuclear accord known as the JCPOA are on the right track to make sure that everyone’s interests are secured.Zarif added that the nuclear deal includes benefits for every party, stressing that the US illegal withdrawal should not affect the interest of any other remaining parties.

Zarif is slated to hold talks with the foreign ministers of France and Germany as well.

Zarif embarked on a visit to China on Saturday night which later took him to Moscow and Belgium.

When in Moscow, he discussed a variety of issues including recent move by the US President Donald Trump to withdraw from the JCPOA, US dangerous move to relocate its embassy to Al-Quds with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

Last Tuesday, US President Donald Trump unilaterally pulled out of the international pact that was confirmed by the UNSC, which drew fierce criticism from the international community.

Earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani urged French President Emanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel to give guarantees that Iran's interests will be preserved and wanted the European Union, especially the three European signatories of Iran Deal, to announce, in a limited time, their stance on how to preserve and provide Iran's interests after the US' withdrawal from the deal.
