Israeli military forces opened fire to peaceful protesters at the 72nd week of 'Great March of Return' rally near the Gaza Strip border with occupied lands.

Iran Press/Middle East: Palestinians on Friday, August 23, like 71 past consecutive weeks gathered near the fence that separates Gaza Strip from the Israeli occupied lands, to demonstrate against the regime's decades-long occupation of Palestinian territories.

More than 30 protesters injured when Israeli forces opened fire to a crowd of people indiscriminately.

The peaceful protests of Great March of Return were initiated in Gaza Strip on 30 March 2018, on the occasion of 'Land Day' and has continued ever since.

Since then, nearly 270 protesters have been killed -- and thousands more wounded -- by Israeli troops deployed near the buffer zone.

Demonstrators demand an end to the Zionist regime’s 12-year blockade of the Gaza Strip, which has shattered the coastal enclave’s economy and deprived its two million inhabitants of many basic amenities.
