Syrian President received Oman's Foreign Minister and talked on the latest developments in the regional and international arenas, particularly the attempts to obliterate the historical Arab rights in light of the crises and difficult circumstances through which the region is currently passing.

Iran Press/Middle East: Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad on Sunday also discussed with Oman's Foreign Minister, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah the attempts to obliterate the historical Arab rights in light of the crises and difficult circumstances through which the region is currently passing.

The meeting was attended by Syrian Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem, SANA reported.

In the same context, Minister al-Moallem discussed with Bin Alawi and the accompanying delegation the bilateral relations between the two countries and means to enhance them in all domains in a way that would achieve the mutual interests of both brotherly peoples.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the region and the means to face different challenges that target its people as both agreed on the necessity of the continued coordination and consultation in a way that would help in preserving the security and stability.

Oman is among Arab countries that have kept normal relations with Damascus after Syria was suspended from the Arab League in 2011.
