The 45th edition of Baghdad International Fair in Iraq, including vast number of industries, kicked off on October 10 and will be open until 19 November 2018.

Middle East: According to Iran Press, power and electricity companies, healthcare and medical equipment companies, telecommunications and ICT firms, agriculture, food industry, clothing, fashion, furniture, banking and insurance, tourism and advertising companies all took part in the Baghdad International Fair.

More than 7000 companies from about 80 countries are showcasing their products and services with a focus on reconstruction of Iraq. 

"We have participated in Iraq's international fair in order to show our products and also make relationship with private sector to rehabilitate our plants specially for Al Anbar province  and Nineveh province", General director of "Iraq's state cement company", Hossain Mohsin Obaid, told Press TV's reporter.

Iranian companies have also strong presence in the fair, from those who are active in the food industry to manufacturers of heavy machinery. Iranian exhibitor, Mohamad Reza Ahmadi told Press TV that his company's products have been sold in Iraq for more than 10 years and they have participated in the fair due to lots of request from Iraqi traders in order to show our newest and advanced machinery.

Participants in this fair saying that there are now more opportunities to expand ties with foreign companies and thanks to fighting with Daesh terrorist group (ISIS), Iraq's defence and security industries have been improved.

Now that stability and security have been restored in Iraq, the 45th Baghdad international fair provides the opportunity for Iraqi people to not only showcase their domestic products to consumers but also to cooperate with international companies and attract significant foreign investment into their country.
