Indonesian Ambassador to Iran stated that the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has a strong collaboration with Iran since many years ago.

Iran Press/Iran news"ASEAN consists of 10 countries and we have started to develop our regional cooperation from the economic aspect and also we are working on political and social issues as well," Indonesian Ambassador to Iran Octavino Alimudin said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on sidelines of ASEAN-Tehran committee, 18th September 2019,

"ASEAN has a strong collaboration with Iran in the economic aspect and it may also gradually go to social, cultural and also political aspects as well," Indonesian Ambassador added.

"We consider ASEAN and Iran as very good partners. ASEAN countries' relations with Iran is going on very well," Alimudin stated.

"ASEAN brings issues based on the common position of all member countries," Indonesian Ambassador to Iran said.

"We have ASEAN-Korea, ASEAN-china, ASEAN-Japan, ASEAN-Australia, ASEAN-India, and even ASEAN- United States, so during these meetings, foreign ministers of different countries can speak about their concerns and we are open to any dialog," Alimudin added.

"We hope that the position of some individual countries will be discussed during these meetings and we understand more about each other," Indonesian Ambassador to Iran concluded. 101/104
