Urmia (IP) - Iran's Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs said one of the country's strategic plans is to expand diplomatic ties with the world's countries.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday and on the sidelines of his trip to Urmia city of Western Azerbaijan province, northwest of Iran, Hossein-Ali Amiri stressed that diplomatic ties with the neighboring countries are of immense importance for Iran.

Referring to the Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani's trip to Turkey, Amiri asserted that Iran is one of the most important and influencing countries in the west of Asia and that President Rouhani will discuss regional and international issues with Turkish and Russian presidents in Ankara.

"The strategic trips are valuable and to the benefit of the Islamic Republic of Iran," Iran's Vice President of Parliamentary Affairs Hossein-Ali Amiri said.

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani will leave Tehran for Ankara on Sunday night to take part in a trilateral meeting with Turkey and Russia's presidents. 203/215/201
