Tabriz (IP) - Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian announced that despite all sanctions, Iran has not experienced any pause or disruption in power and water networks.

Iran Press/Iran news: In the inauguration ceremony of phase one of the Heris Combined Cycle Power Plant, northwest of Iran, Energy minister, Reza Ardakanian, in his video briefing to president Rouhani, said that  “We are so humbled and honored that through this year, which is an exceptional year by any account, we hosted president Rouhani for inauguration of water and power projects”, reporetd Iran Press.

“In March, due to heavy rains and floods,  my collogues in the ministry were busy to manage the situation and the president’s visits to flood-hit  provinces encouraged them; one month later in  May, we also hosted the president for inauguration of development of border projects in North Khorasan and East Azerbaijan,” the minister said, adding that “This administration has brilliant functions in all 1755 Megawatts installed capability of the power plants and through the last six years, installed capability has reached to 2105 Megawatts”.

Iran’s energy minister continued that “We have also many achievements in renewable power plans and add 90 Megawatts to power plants capacity in the country which required massive investments that National Development Fund and private sector secured the needed fund. Every year, 40 thousand billion Tomans invested in power industry”.  

“Meanwhile, thanks to domestic capabilities, 95 percent of the equipment are produced inside  our country and in sanctions ear, we not only had any pause and stop, but also our self-confident ratio has been increased. We have active presence in  the regional markets and major ammount of export for engineering and technical services are from this industry,” he said.

The minister of Energy went on saying that “23 projects with 46 billion Tomans will start next year and we continue this track till the end of this administration”.  203/ 212
