Stefan Scholz deplored the economic sanctions imposed against the Islamic Republic by the US government and emphasized the right of Iran to take advantage of the JCPOA's economic benefits.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a meeting with the governor of the north central province of Semnan, Scholz referred to potentials which can boost bilateral relations between Iran and Austria, saying that the Islamic Republic has countless capacities which are not confined to Tehran.

Referring to the talks between the Austrian delegation and the governor of Semnan, he also pointed out: "Proper research cooperation has been established in the province of Semnan and Austria."

The Austrian ambassador further stated that: "The University of Semnan and a well-known Austrian university, The University of Leoben in Austria, will begin collaboration in the field of manufacturing and reducing automobile parts depreciation, especially in pistons."

He argued that there had been good cooperation between Austrian and Iranian companies since the past: "Two Austrian companies have been working in Iran in the field of water management.", he added.

Stefan Scholz also expressed his interest in continuing the cooperation, adding that the province of Semnan was interested in cooperating over the production of electricity and solar power plants. 203/218
