Maritime trade development with Persian Gulf ports and countries plays major role for Iran's economy in sanction ear; Director General of Ports and Maritime Department of Hormozgan Province Allah-Morad Afifipour announced.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran press and on the occasion of World Sailing Day on 25 Jun, captain Allah-Morad Afifipour said that "Due capacity of ports in Hormozgan province and its long coastlines, there is cooperation with different southern Persian Gulf ports and countries".

Mentioning importance of Maritime transit in Iran's southern port of Bandar-e Shiu, Afifipour added that this port has good capacity in west of Hormozgan province for maritime transit between Iran and Qatar and resolving its need for goods transit.

"Bandar-e-Jask and Bandar-e-Sirik, two important ports in the east of the province are also capable to make good mutual connections with Oman for maritime transit," he added.
