Ghassemi: Making unrealistic issues not affect determination of Iranians

Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman has criticized the unrealistic stance of G7 countries vis-a-vis Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Denouncing the unrealistic stances of the Group of Seven (G7) industrialized nations, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghassemi, emphasized the constructive role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in consolidating stability, security, and countering terrorism in West Asia region.

In response to the false accusations and misinterpretations about Iran's peaceful civilian nuclear program that the Foreign Ministers of the G7 countries made in a statement in France, Iran considered the statement to be unconstructive, completely biased and one-sided, and in explicit contradiction of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action JCPOA and going against the commitments of the three European signatories to the nuclear deal (JCPOA).

Emphasizing Iran's commitment to its international obligations, Bahram Ghasemi stated: "Unrealistic stances and attempts to show the existence of fictional (non-real) threats from Iran, will never affect the solid determination of the Iranian people and the continuation of the Islamic Republic's approach to pursuing its national interests in the region and in the wider world.

He added: "It's unfortunate that the members of the G7 are under the influence of the illegal and bullying conduct of the United States and are repeating the false US claims against Iran, seeking attention and meeting the demands of the US.

Ghassemi also condemned the violations of the fundamental principles of JCPOA by the three European countries, calling for a clear explanation from them and emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will pursue this issue using the mechanisms outlined in JCPOA agreement.
