Kish (IP) - Iranian taekwondo fighters ranked first in the third World Taekwondo President's Cup which was hold in Kish Island, southern Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Some 361 athletes from the Republic of Azerbaijan, US, Jordan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Tunisia, China, Russia, Syria, Sweden, Iraq, Oman, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Georgia, Lebanon, Poland and India attended the event.

The Iranian Taekwondo squad with 5 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals and with a total of 763 points won the event, and was ranked first , Iran Press reported.

Jordan and South Korea were ranked second and third respectively.

Russia, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Armenia and India stood on 5th-10th places respectively.

The Kish event was attended by the President of the World Taekwondo Federation, Chungwon Choue, together with the President of Asian Taekwondo Union Kyu-seok Lee and the President of Iran's Taekwondo Federation Mohammad Pouladgar. 

Men and women Taekwondo practitioners competed in senior and junior categories of Kyorugi and Para-Taekwondo. 101/211/202
