Iran's FM Spokesman has condemned the silence of certain regional governments which has emboldened the Zionists to continue their aggression against historic and Islamic sites in Palestine.

Iran Press/Iran news: Referring to the recent Zionist attack on Beit ul-Moqaddas, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghassemi said: "Massacring and ethnic cleansing in Beit ul-Moqaddas have been underway since the occupation of Palestine."

He added: "But the deadly silence of certain regional governments vis-a-vis the frequent Israeli army offensives and their accompaniment to the ridiculous show of Warsaw Meeting as well as establishing covert and overt contacts with perpetrators of the mass killings have encouraged and emboldened the Zionists to carry out more aggression against holy sites in Palestine, especially the city of Beit ul-Moqaddas," IRNA reported.

Ghassemi called for urgent and practical measures by the Islamic states and international organizations to condemn recent acts by the Zionists and prevent their recurrence.

Nearly a dozen Palestinians have been injured and 15 others arrested after Israeli military forces attacked worshipers entering al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied Old City of al-Quds on 19 February.
