Iran's defence minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami has emphasised that upgrading and modernising Iran's missile capabilities is always a top priority for the Islamic Republic since Iran's missile might guarantees security and stability of the region.

Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, defence minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami, said: "Iran's missile capabilities is a real deterrent for the enemies of this nation, and this is why the West is very sensitive with regards to Iran's missile defences and missile technology."

Defence minister Hatami went on to refer to the presence of foreign military forces in this region, saying this presence has only brought insecurity to the region.

Hatami stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran wants a region which is fully stable, secure and strong.

Also on November 3, in a ceremony in the central city of Isfahan, Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi and Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami inaugurated the production line of Kowthar at Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Company, a firm affiliated to the defense ministry’s Aviation Industries Organization.

"Soon the needed number of this plane will be produced and put at the service of the Air Force," Iran's minister of defense said at a ceremony launching the plane's production. 211/103
