President Hassan Rouhani has appointed four individuals as new ministers, to head the ministries of "Economy and Finance", "Industry Mines and Trade", "Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare", and "Road and Urban Development".

Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, with reference to articles 87 and 133 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran and with due regard to the vote of confidence of the Islamic Consultative Assembly dated 27 October 2018, president Rouhani appointed Reza Rahmani as the new minister of industry, mines and trade, Farhad Dezhpasand as the new minister of economy and finance, Mohammad Shariatmadari as the new minister of cooperatives, labour and social welfare, and Mohammad Eslami as the new minister of housing, road and urban development. 

President Rouhani urged all new appointees to employ highly qualified and skilled managers to advance the goals and plans of the 12th Government, and to carry out their duties and instructions to the best of their abilities.

In his letter of appointment president Rouhani said: "I wish you success in carrying out your legal responsibilities for realisation of the goals of “Freedom, Security, Peace and Progress” and serving Islam and the noble people of Iran by trusting in the Almighty, coordinating with the Council of Ministers, and moving in the path of moderation and observing the “Code of Ethics of the Government of Prudence and Hope”.
