Iran's Armed Forces' Chief of Staff, Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri visited the Chinese Naval Base Shanghai as part of his three-day visit to the country.

Iran Press/Asia: Iran's top military commander, Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri has arrived in China for a three-day visit on Wednesday. He went there at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart.

According to Iran Press, Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri visited Chinese Naval Base Shanghai on Thursday morning.

During the visit to the Chinese Naval Base Shanghai, the Iranian military chief took a look at the naval equipment and the vessels stationed at the base.

Earlier on Thursday while speaking to reporters after holding talks with senior Chinese military officials, Bagheri said that Iran and China will witness significant development in their defense and military relations with the aim of promoting peace and stability and security for both nations.

The Iranian General announced that during the meeting with the high-ranking Chinese military officials, the two sides discussed and conferred on useful issues, adding that one of the topics discussed was the ways to organize Iran-China joint technical and industrial commission. 101/212
