Blast in eastern Afghanistan injures eight civilians

A bomb blast near a health clinic in Jalalabad city in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan has left at least eight civilians injured.

Iran Press/Asia: At least eight civilians were wounded after an explosion went off near a health clinic in Jalalabad city, capital of Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar Province on Monday morning, a local official said.

According to Iran Press, three women and three children are among the wounded.

So far, no person or group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

More than 17 years after US-led military aggression and occupation of Afghanistan, the Taliban and other terrorist groups like Daesh Takfiri terrorists are thriving in the country, controlling large swathes of territory, and showing no signs of defeat.

Meanwhile, America's longest war continues to threaten lives and kill people in Afghanistan after more than 17 years. According to the United Nations, the number of civilians killed in the first half of 2018 reached an eight-year record high.
