Ivorian President called for the active presence of Iranian investors, businessmen, and industrialists in various projects throughout the African country at a meeting in Abidjan with Iran's new ambassador to Ivory Coast.

Iran Press/Africa: The ambassador of Iran to Ivory Coast, Kourosh Majidi presented his credentials to the President of Ivory Coast Alassane Ouattara.

Ouattara wished the Iranian ambassador success in his mission, emphasizing Ivory Coast's readiness to strengthen relations between the two countries, Iran Press reported.

Kourosh Majidi, for his part, referred to the long history of relations between the two countries, citing efforts to expand and strengthen political, cultural, and especially economic relations as the most important goal during his tenure as ambassador. 

The ambassador also highlighted the readiness of the government and private sectors of the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate in various economic and infrastructure projects in the Ivory Coast.

Majidi replaced Mansour Shakib Mehr, Iran's former ambassador to Abijah.
