Tehran (IP) - Member of the National Security Commission of the Iranian parliament expressed that negotiation about peace in Afghanistan is one of the aims of the head of the Afghan High Council for National Reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah to Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of Sunday’s open session of Iran’s parliament, Fada-Hossein Maleki elaborated on the aims of Abdullah Abdullah’s trip to Iran, saying reviewing bilateral issues is another aim of Abdullah's trip to Iran.

Rejecting US' interference in the region, he noted that Iran’s plan regarding establishing peace is based on intra-Afghan talks in the Asian country.

Maleki went on to say that addressing the issue of Helmand river and Hamun lake, which has caused problems for citizens in Sistan and Baluchestan province due to drought, are on the agenda.

Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of Afghanistan, arrived in Tehran on Sunday for a three-day visit to discuss peace and stability in Afghanistan with officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
