Iran (IP) - Hessam Mahdi, the Egyptian representative, and UNESCO assessor, has traveled to Iran to assess the global registration of the cultural landscape of the Uramanat tourist area.

Iran PressIran News: Uramanat or Hawraman, in terms of architecture and landscape, is a beautiful cultural heritage in western Iran and can be presented to the world, which is on the agenda of the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The cultural landscape of the Uramanat tourist area covers 300 villages. About 100,000 hectares is the area and more than 300,000 hectares are the surrounding territory of the Uramanat region, which covers a total of more than 400,000 hectares and includes the two border provinces of Kermanshah and Kurdestan in western Iran.

UNESCO Assessor Hessam Mahdi will assess the Uramanat region in the provinces of Kermanshah and Kurdestan for eight days from September 24 to October 1, 2020.

Everything that should be included in the Uramanat World Heritage Site, such as villages, rituals, and pristine and beautiful places, will be evaluated by the UNESCO assessor.
