Bandar Abbas (IP) - The construction of the first full-Iranian-made oil refinery in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, began with the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in attendance.

Iran Press/Iran news: In the ceremony held on Thursday, Major General Hossein Salami said the construction of the refinery would shape the country's self-sufficiency and economic independence. 

Major General Salami referring to the US sanctions against Iran, said; "IRGC has more than 220 major infrastructure projects underway, and we will not allow the sanctions to halt any of the projects and will defeat the enemy as we have done before."
