Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari said on Monday that 425,481 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 361,523 of the total infected people have recovered.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to Lari, the definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to September 21, 2020, shows that 3,341 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 1,494 of patients were hospitalized.

The spokeswoman said that in the past 24 hours, 177 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 24,478 people have lost their lives in the country to date.

3,912 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, around 3,773,300 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted," the health ministry spokeswoman noted.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, and Yazd are regarded as red zones.

"Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Hormozgan, Fars, and Golestan provinces are also on alert," she concluded.
