Supply of basic goods ongoing despite sanctions: President

Tehran (IP) - Iran’s President has said that the constant supply of basic needs of the country despite the limitations of oil-selling and currency income, is indicative of the failure of sanctions imposers on Iran’s economy.

Iran PressIran News: Attending a meeting of the Government Economic Coordination Headquarters on Sunday, Hassan Rouhani said that the required currency for the current year and the adopted strategic storage should be kept a priority for the central bank with the necessary facilities provided so in this regard.

The Governor of Iran’s central Bank Abdol-Naser Hemmati for his part provided a report on the supply of the needed currency and import of the basic goods. 

The Head of Planning and Budget Organization Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht also presented his report, explaining that despite the limitations in using some resources, the necessary allocations for the payment of household subsidies, priority items such as health-related payments, as well as the necessary resources for guaranteed purchase of wheat and rows as well as other necessary production costs, have been done.    207
