Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari said on Sunday that so far, 422,140 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 359,570 of the total infected people have recovered and been discharged.

Iran PressIran news: According to Sima Sadat Lari, definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to September 20, 2020, in the country, 3,097 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 1,272 of patients were hospitalized.

The Spokeswoman said that in the past 24 hours, 183 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, so, 24,301 people have lost their lives in the country to date.

3,898  COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, around 3,746,629 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted," the Health Ministry spokeswoman noted.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Tehran, Mazandaran, Gilan, Qom, Isfahan, Khorasan Razavi, East Azerbaijan, Kerman, North Khorasan, Semnan, Yazd, Zanjan, and Qazvin are in the red.

Also, the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Alborz, Fars, Lorestan, Hormozgan, Ardabil, Bushehr, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, South Khorasan, Markazi, Ilam, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Golestan, and Khuzestan are on alert.
