At a meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, Pakistan government officials approved a plan to build and operate three markets on the Afghan-Iranian border.

Iran Press/Asia: Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan said at the meeting that these markets provide better business opportunities for people living in border areas, Sama TV network reported.

Two border markets are to be established in Balochistan and another in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The border markets project will be completed in February 2021.

Sistan and Baluchestan Province, located in the southeast of Islamic Iran, borders Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The length of the land borders of this province with Afghanistan is about 300 km and the length of the common land borders of the province with Pakistan is 921 km.

Pakistan's economic relations with Sistan and Baluchestan Province are extensive.
