Tehran (IP) - "The enemies wanted us to shut down the country with the aim of creating unrest in the face of the coronavirus," President Hassan Rouhani stated, noting that the country's production capacity has been in the best situation during the pandemic.

Iran PressIran news: Rouhani said this morning at the meeting of the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus: "I thank all the officials and authorities, especially the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who guided and instructed us both in words and in action. Magnificent Muharram rituals performed in accordance with health protocols. Protocols were implemented across the county."

President Rouhani Also appreciated IRIB and the Iranian media for transmitting rituals and ceremonies to all homes all across the country.

Rouhani went on to say that people performed mourning at homes more than previous years, adding that this mourning was even done through cyberspace.

He added: "This year, mourning had its own special form, but it was more glorious in a way because new methods and initiatives were considered. The IRIB and other media did a great job. We also thank the police forces."

Referring to the holding of the entrance exam in recent weeks, Rouhani noted: "The entrance exam was well performed throughout the country. In the report of the Ministry of Health, at least 90% of the protocols were observed. Education and universities began to work today."

He pointed out that in cases where in-person training is possible, it should be held in-person.

"I think the government, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology have a heavy responsibility," the president said.

Rouhani added: "Every step we take, the anti-Iranian foreign media fabricate a story every day at all stages. From the beginning of the pandemic, the slogan of the people was that we should fight against this virus and defeat it. But these media were against it and said: why do you want to defeat this virus? The virus must do its job!"

"The enemy was looking for and wanted to shut down Iran under the pretext of escaping the virus. They said: it is our duty to shut down everything and to the closure of the factories. But it is dangerous. If factories should not be active, it means that health and food supplies should not be in stores. The driver should not sit behind the wheel, and so forth. they were looking to destroy the country," Rouhani reiterated.

The President highlighted: "From the first day in the National Task Force for Combating Coronavirus, we stressed all manufacturing companies should continue their activities in compliance with health protocols. In the following weeks and months, even our big factories did their work safely. Our production went well."
