Yasuj (IP) - Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, southwestern Iran, has beautiful natural and touristic attractions. One of them is the historic and touristic village of Kareyak.

Iran PressIran News: Kareyak village is one of the oldest villages in Dena town, located 25 km from Yasuj city, the capital of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province.

The 2,000-year-old village is located on the slopes of the southern Zagros Mountains and is called Masouleh in southwestern Iran due to its stair nature.

Kareyak village is an interesting example of stair architecture in southwestern Iran, with houses made of clay, mud, and wood densely formed on a gentle slope.

The good-climate village is located on the access road to the beautiful summer area of 'Sisakht' town and is one of the routes to climb Dena Peak, which hosts nature-lovers and tourists every year.   207
