Thailand supports Iran's stance on JCPOA
Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-Cha said on Wednesday that Iran has fulfilled its commitments concerning the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and underlined Thailand's full support for Iran's stance.
In the meeting, the prime minister called for the expansion of all-out ties in banking and trade between Bangkok and Tehran, and expressed the hope that a new chapter of expansion of relations and economic and trade cooperation begins between the two countries.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Vice-President and government spokesman Mohammad Baqer Nobakht in Bangkok.
Nobakht is to deliver speech in the meeting and also is to meet with the UN Undersecretary General Shamshad Akhtar, who is head of ESCAP commission.
Nobakht is in Bangkok to attend the 74th meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Nobakht invited Prime Minister Chan-o-Cha to pay a visit to Tehran and hold joint meeting to develop economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Title of the 74th ESCAP meeting in Bangkok is; 'Sustainable Development with Focus on Poverty and Inequality in Asia and the Pacific'.
