Iran Press/Iran news: After Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Sunday blamed Iran for the recent oil tanker attacks in the Sea of Oman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said on Monday that levelling accusations against Iran is “the continuation of wrong approach and escape form problems created by Saudi Arabia’s wrong policies in the region.”

“With a lack of proper understanding of the region’s variables with a militaristic, crisis-based approach, Saudi Arabia has given up the wealth of its people to the foreigners,” the spokesman added, reported Iran Press.
Mousavi further expressed hope that Saudi Arabia would change its wrong path, which has yielded nothing but war and destruction, and would take confidence-building steps and adopt new policies based on dialogue and engagement to reduce the regional tensions. “The Islamic Republic of Iran will definitely welcome such a new approach,” the spokesman added.
On June 13, an incident in the Gulf of Oman was reported by Iran’s Al-Alam TV and a UK maritime safety group warned of 'extreme caution' in the area.
Reuters quotes informed sources as reporting Norway's oil tanker struck by a torpedo off the coast.
Later on, Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif regarded the attack on two oil tankers in the Sea of Oman as suspicious.
Further More, according to Kuwait's permanent representative to the UN, the international body has not reached any evidence regarding the Oman oil tanker attack.
Also, on June 14 Iran's diplomatic mission at the United Nations categorically rejected a US claim about an attack on two oil tankers in the Sea of Oman, forthrightly condemning the unsubstantiated US accusations in the strongest possible terms.
On the very same day, crew of two incident-hit vessels in the Sea of Oman who were rescued with Iran coordination have been taken to a convenient location in Jask port and are in good health and excellent condition: the act which led to The Russian president, Vladimir Putin's appreciation.
Finally, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Friday that a video provided by the United States doesn’t prove that Iran is behind the attacks on oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman. 213/203
