Iranian oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh

Iranian oil Minister departed the Iranian capital on Friday accompanied with a delegation of senior Iranian oil executives.

Iran Press/Iran news: Aim of Iranian delegation travel to Oman headed by Bijan Namdar Zangeneh is to engage in energy talks with Omani officials.

On Thursday Iran Oil Minister hosted a meeting with the visiting OPEC Secretary General Mohammed Barkindo, who has travelled to Tehran to visit the 24th Iran Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition on Thursday, Iran Press reported.

Speaking to reporters in Tehran, Mohammed Sanusi underlined that Iranian oil could not be eliminated from the global market and unilateral actions against Iran is futile.

Sanusi added that Washington would not gain anything if it imposes punitive measures on it.

The US announced that buyers of Iranian oil must stop purchases by May 1 or face sanctions, ending six months of waivers which allowed Iran’s eight biggest buyers -- Turkey, China, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan -- to continue importing limited volumes.

"The United States will not be able to reduce Iran’s oil exports to zero", Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh said at opening ceremony of the 24th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition on 1 May 2019.
