Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs in meeting with Iranian-Nigerian Parliamentary Friendship group emphasized on the expansion of ties through current potentials with cooperation of the private sector.

Iran Press/Iran news:  Niger's deputy parliament speaker accompanied by members of the Iranian-Nigerian Parliamentary Friendship group met with Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday.

Zarif noted the importance of Africa in Iran's foreign policy and good relations between Iran and Niger and said: Governments and Parliaments of the two countries should pay more attention to existing potentials for expansion of bilateral ties.    

Zarif also said the private sector can facilitate cooperation and expansion of ties in the two countries.

Niger's deputy parliament speaker expressed his sympathy for Iranian flood-hit victims and appreciated the work done by Iran-Niger Parliamentary Friendship group in expansion of cooperation in telecommunication, academic, political and parliamentary fields between Iran and Niger.

Niger's deputy parliament speaker also met Ali Larijani speaker of Iran's Parliament yesterday (Sunday).

In a Sunday meeting with an official from House of Representatives of Niger in Tehran, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said everything is in place for further development and expansion of Iran-Niger trade ties.

“There is no limit for trade ties with Niger and the country’s businessmen can freely trade at Iran’s markets,” Larijani added. 104/211
