The Prime Minister of Iraq arrived in Tehran on Saturday to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iraqi Prime Minister, Adil Abdul-Mahdi was greeted by Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif at Mehrabad International Airport in west Tehran.

Meanwhile, a high-ranking Iraqi delegation arrived in Iran last Tuesday, according to an Iran Press report. 

Iranian president in a phone call with Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi, on 27 March, expressed his wishes to speed up implementation of agreements already signed between Tehran and Baghdad during his recent visit to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

Today, the volume of trade between Tehran and Baghdad stands at around USD 12 billion. 101/211/201
